In this case, Mother Earth in her elliptical dance around Father Sun, leaves the point closest to him seeking balance from her most equidistant point from the Equator in relation to the Sun. Thus arriving on September 21 in the northern hemisphere and March 21 in the southern hemisphere, we arrive at the Autumn Equinox at the moment when day and night once again have the same length.

After the intense activity that lasted throughout the summer, the well-deserved rest is coming. Mother Earth is beginning to dry out, the rains have finished cleaning and nourishing all the fields and their fruits.

In this period in which we have harvested everything sown in all aspects, Nature also sheds all the foliage on its trees that will not be able to feed us; the seasonal vegetation is closing the generous cycle of giving us all the medicine and nutrients that we must store for what is to come.

Autumn is a time of change, of closing cycles, of being thankful for the ripening of the fruits and storing the seeds that have remained as a promise of renewal when the time comes. In the meantime, we will have to return to balance, return to the daily embrace of home and make room in our lives for everything we have harvested. Contemplating all the work accomplished and valuing the lessons learned from productive time, we will be prepared for a time to let go of everything that has already fulfilled its purpose or that we will no longer need or be able to nourish.

This time of balance, in which energy returns to the Earth and gradually separates from solar energy, is a time of transition, of preparation to enter with all the previously gathered energy reserves, into the darkness, silence and stillness that make it possible and necessary to take care of the small intimate family fire of waiting and transformation.
